Brooks Ghost 14 Black / Pearl / Peach

Brooks Ghost 14 Black / Pearl / Peach Updated midsole is now 100% DNA LOFT cushioning for an even softer, smoother ride. The new, softer midsole and Segmented Crash Pad team up for easier flow from landing to toe-off. Our 3D Fit Print upper balances stretch and structure so the shoe adjusts comfortably to your foot. Brooks Ghost 14 Review The Brooks Ghost 14 is the latest version of the popular neutral running shoe. It has a 12mm heel drop, which is very slightly more than the Ghost 13 although only 0.5mm. Instead of a midsole mix of BioGoMo DNA loft and DNA loft of the 13, the Ghost 14 midsole is now entirely DNA loft. Brooks say that this offers smoother cushioning, the same as the Brooks Glycerin. UK Athletics have a list of legal / illegal running shoes for all running competitions and t he Brooks Ghost 14 complies with international rules for road, track and trail. Many people will have different shoes for track and trail, but for those who run mainly on the road, the Ghost 14 covers most needs. I found that the shoe feels and runs the same as the Ghost 13, which I have to say, was an improvement on the 12. It is always a concern when a company brings out a new shoe when there has been disappointment in the past. As I said the Ghost 14 even with the DNA loft in the midsole, does feel strikingly similar to the Ghost 13. My 13’s are pretty worn out now but have been a great training shoe. The Ghost 14 feels a trusted, replacement workhorse for long runs, marathon training as well shorter outings such as Parkrun. They have excellent stability, a high level of cushioning and a comfortable upper. The biggest change to the upper is the change in the mesh. Even with this change they still feel warm on your feet in hot weather. I have always found this with all Ghosts except maybe the 11. Probably lucky that we don’t have too many days in the high 20s. In conclusion, the changes that Brooks have made in the Ghost 14 may not feel obvious on the first try. They are however there to make the 14 the comfortable workhorse of the Brookes stable. Ideal for day-to-day training and running comfort. Brooks Hyperion Tempo Black / Flame / Grey If you are looking for more speed in your runs with supreme energy return, a sublime fit and with all the hallmarks of a lightweight responsive running shoe from the Brooks Neutral stable then the Hyperion Tempo might be the answer for you. The new Nitrogen-infused ‘DNA Flash’ midsole delivers all this and more, adapting to your unique stride, saving you energy and allowing you to train faster and recover quicker from those sessions. The cushioning and support lessens joint impact and minimises the risk of potential injury by reducing deviation from your optimal stride to keep the foot stable as you run. The Hyperion has a stretch woven upper which wraps your foot for enhanced comfort. It stretches with the foot to allow an unrestricted range of motion and it’s excellent ‘moisture management’ is cooling and breathable, creating a drier healthier environment for your feet, whilst the more traditional lacing system gives that locked-in fit throughout your run. A durable rubber outsole keeps you in firm control with excellent grip and traction. The Hyperion Tempo was the lightest, fastest and most capable running shoe from Brooks at launch and almost two years later this is still the case. Try it alongside the Hoka Rincon or Saucony Endorphin Speed 2 and challenge those PB’s.
